Anxiety and feeling overwhelmed by our busy lives are feelings familiar to most of us.
When those feelings become intense and seem unbearable, it can help to talk to and be listened to by an someone outside the family and friend group.
We have conversations together about whatever is causing difficulties or pain.
In those conversations, we look at the connections between behaviours and the meaning attributed to them.
We explore the patterns of beliefs and communication, when these might have been created and the influence these might have on the clients’ current difficulties.
The conversations are guided in a way that feels comfortable to the clients. In practice, this means I pay attention to pace and language as well as respecting differences of culture, race, gender, ability, personal beliefs, age.
I work with anyone who is seeking help with relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, stress, and specific problems in everyday life.
